Mid Century Hutch Carved Cabinet Doors Three Drawers Contrasting Veneer Details Brass Handles With Lights
Period: Mid Century Modern
Place of Origin: USA
Materials: Walnut Veneer, Solid Wood Core, Walnut, Brass
Wear: Excellent, some wear commensurate with age. Please see photos for details. The lights were added by a previous owner and the “system” can be removed if desired.
Please note the glass in the photos has been edited to remove reflections; however the piece has six panes of glass in the front that reveal the interior contents.
Reason why we love it, design details:
Carved, vertical waves on doors — love!
The piece looks to be sitting alert on the lovely tapered legs.
Great brass handles accented by the ovular, contrasting wood veneer.
Traditionally this would have been used as a china cabinet, to display collections of dinnerware, tea service sets, etc. While it can serve the same purpose in a modern context, it also can be repurposed in a number of ways! Our favorite is for it to be used for clothing and accessory storage. Organizational experts say that when accessories are displayed in our spaces in the same fashion as they are in boutiques, we are more likely to use and enjoy them all, rather that using the same usual suspects over and over again.
Drawers: Wooden and Metal runners. Dovetail drawers. Clean interiors as detailed in photos.
