Lovely legs, beautiful lines and repetition created by the six-speaker slats at the bottom of the piece.
Beautiful woodgrain, evocative of Teak grain and color so prevalent in Danish Modern pieces of the same era, but is actually a European Walnut.
Door to radio receiver opens super smoothly by pulling forward and slides sleekly into the cabinet. Small storage area below receiver. Glass and buttons in perfect condition. Dials on the receiver turn well, buttery smooth.
Lid to cabinet also functions smoothly, original cabinet light in bottom right corner. Original Telefunken turntable, but doesn’t appear to be working.
When plugged in the radio glows, but no sound can be heard coming from the speakers.

The piece can be purchased as is and then customized to your exact taste and preferences. Whether it’s restoration to its original sound, or modern modifications update your listening experience, or a combination of the two. It can also be purchased with the radio and turntable restored to working condition by a workshop near Baltimore, MD that has been repairing consoles since the 1950’s. We would deliver it there, have it repaired and then deliver it to you, or organize a pick up from there.
